As a dedicated player exploring the new Blazewood region in Zenless Zone Zero's 1.2 update, I discovered that helping Officer Mewmew unlocks some of the most rewarding challenges in the game. This familiar mascot character has set up shop in the Lower Level subsection of Blazewood, but finding him requires completing specific prerequisites first. 
You can only access Blazewood after finishing the "Tour de Inferno" main story quest during Chapter 4. Once you arrive in this new area near New Eridu, head to the Lower Level subsection either by elevator or through the Navigation system. Near the trailer homes, look for an NPC called the "Sage in a Barrel" - Officer Mewmew will be standing to the right of the welcome gate that reads "Welcome to Boundless Blaze." However, don't expect to jump straight into challenges; Officer Mewmew has some personal issues that need resolving first through the "Scared Visitor" side quest.
The "Scared Visitor" quest leads you to Cheestopia or Upper Level sections of Blazewood, where you'll find an angry Bangboo occupying Officer Mewmew's spot. This mini-game requires precise timing: you need to press buttons when the green ping from the center reaches the outer circle, repeating this process several times without letting rings exit the circle. Once completed, the Bangboo reveals its true nature - far less intimidating than Officer Mewmew assumed. Returning to inform Officer Mewmew resolves the misunderstanding and unlocks all challenges.
What makes helping Officer Mewmew particularly valuable are the 16 different challenge medals you can earn, each providing substantial Polychrome rewards and materials useful for your Agents. These community-focused tasks encourage thorough exploration of Blazewood's new content. Some challenges are tied to collectibles scattered throughout the region, while others require sequential completion where later medals only unlock after finishing previous ones. The progression system ensures you experience everything Blazewood has to offer.
